PGSF is honored to have impacted the lives of thousands of students over the years. In this blog series we highlight feedback from our current and past recipients, showcasing the impact our financial and organizational support has had and how it impacts their lives.
“This year I have been in charge of recruitment for our Graphic Media Management program. A few other students and I go to the tech centers in Michigan to speak about our program, to help spread the word that we are hear and give the seniors the opportunity to apply if they are really interested in print. We have gone to Holland, and Grand Rapids, and in the next semester we are planning on going to Ludington, Dexter, and Brighton. Basically, what I’m trying to say is I am extremely involved in this program, and I’m extremely passionate about it. I get excited when I get to talk about it, and I truly want to share it with younger generations, and learn from the older generations. This scholarship has been a great way for me to keep up with paying for this education and these amazing experiences, it truly means a lot and I greatly appreciate it.”
Tara Seth, Ferris State University
“Thank you to the PGSF Board of Directors and Donors who have supported my education! I have been so blessed to receive this financial assistance. I’m looking forward to working in the print/graphic design field when I graduate school!”
Emily Pinto, Augusta Technical College
“This year, I interned for a tap dance festival that landed me a graphic design assistant position for a graphic design company in Brooklyn, New York. I work remotely, which is incredibly flexible with my school schedule and I am gaining so much real-world experience that wouldn’t have been possible without the knowledge I am gaining in school. I am incredibly grateful to my donor and the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation for being the backbone of this opportunity.”
Daisy Armagost, University of Florida
“I feel extremely lucky to be a PIAG and PGSF Scholarship recipient, as both organizations have given me the chance to continue my education without being crushed by the financial pressure of college. Simply saying “thank you” doesn’t cover my gratitude for your generosity, which allows me to pursue my dreams and earn a graphic design degree! Thank you for your financial support and your time in communicating with me!”
Abby Paver, Kennesaw State University
